High Court Pilot Project for Long Vacation 2025 – High Court Family List

Notice regarding the High Court Family List - Long Vacation 2025

• One High Court Judge (Jordan J) will sit in Family between 14 July 2025 and 31 July 2025.
• One High Court Judge (Jackson J) will sit in Family for the week commencing 15 September 2025, and for Monday 22, Tuesday 23 and Wednesday 24 September 2025. There will be no sittings on Thursday 25 September 2025 or Friday 26 September 2025 in order to avoid a clash with a Family Law Conference. However, Jackson J will sit on Monday 29 September 2025, Tuesday 30 September 2025 and Wednesday 1 October 2025.
• There are a number of different family lists in the High Court (Family, Surrogacy, Adoption, Pension Adjustment Orders and Special Care). Those lists will continue as normal in July 2025 but the Surrogacy, Adoption, Pension Adjustment Orders lists and the usual Monday motions/directions lists will not take place during the September sittings presided over by Jackson J.Separate arrangements will be made in respect of the Special Care List – as is normally the case during vacation periods.
• Monday during the September sittings 2025 will be a sitting day for family hearings.
• It is intended to list full hearings and short applications in Family in September 2025.
• Urgent family matters will also be dealt with by Jackson J during the September sittings.
• A call-over of the September List will take place on Monday 30/06/2025 and Jackson J will deal with any case management issues that arise.
